    @Asphalt Angel
    That’s beautiful!
Looks like Bandit Billy’s Ford Royal Maroon. Do you still have the code?

But after the flow coat done the second day.

the close up has 2500 cut and 4 stages of buff on the flow coat.

What is the color code? I really like it.

  7. Yea, a big ole bunch.
Plus there’s a crossover for many more they can mix and get real close. Not every color (229,000) but,,,
Their close enough is going to be good for a complete repaint

  8. This 62 dodge dart is going Red, and they have plenty of Reds. I’ll need more of that orange too.

    Nice carousel orange judge!
If you were going black (paint) would you recommend using it?

This is Delfleet High Solids primer shot over blasted 60 year old frame parts. No sanding or filler. Shooting single stage this weekend. Will post some pictures next week.

^^^^Thanks! Ill look forward to more pics.
The comparison to IMRON has been made a few times on here and it looks similar from the pics posted. I remember wet sanding trying to wet sand IMRON back in the day. Has anyone tried color sanding this stuff?

  13. Yep, and it did well on this solid color.
the process I used was a progressive clear reduction. Shot 4 coats and let it set over night.
With a finishing DA 500 grit dry sanded it dead flat removed any and all orange peel.
If you’re really really REALLY nutso***** about laser straight panels you could/should block sand it with sticky 500 paper and a long board.
After it’s cleaned up sprayed another coat (google “flow coat” ) known as a flow coat. It looked fantastic and really didn’t need anything further, my opinion and I’m a picky****hole. But ,,,, After 1day cure- Then a quickie block sanding pass with 1000, another with 2000 for 95% dead flat and the last with 2500 for any sanding scratches. The sanding didn’t take long, nor was it difficult because that flow coat was so nice. Used the 3m 3 stage and corresponding foam pads. The buffing took more time and compound than BC/CC because it’s tougher. Averaging out about the same overall hours wise.
I suppose you could move to the micro wet pads 3000-5000 on the finishing day to trade off some buffing time.

  14. They have metallics too, I haven’t tried any of those. Shot this in white, black, and orange.

Here's how my black came out. Have a few runs, but that's definitely user error (First time shooting Primer and Single Stage). Overall, it's pretty damn forgiving and laid down nice. I didn't high build or block sand the frame, so the pits show, but it's going under a truck so I wasn't too worried.

  19. Missed this one, yes I would do black
I’d do a test panel first though because there’s at least 30 shades of not 300 shades of black
