My nephew was in the woods on the property checking deer stand in the last couple weeks we've had high winds, he tells me he finds a engine barely sticking out of the ground,
I asked him a few questions he wasn't sure so I went and looked "surprised" what I seen!
    Lived here for 50 years
    Compleat ch***is I am sure 32 !

Barn find is p***e. I think you've come up with a whole new YouTube genre - FFF - Ford Field Finds.

Looks like a 33 that has had a dealer installed 34 crossmember. The frames were cracking in 33 so when the 34 came out, you could take your 33 into the dealer and they would replace the front crossmember.

I could only see part of rail one side @ rear Looked tall like 32 , Im not sure of 33/34 , Its looks to have a foot of dirt from back of block to rear , I hand him dig a hole by hand , trans & rear still in
I know block no good , Hopes not High on whats possibly usable , I just know its been there 50 years , & I now Family before me 1800's , so Im thinking 1960 just by size of trees , Just wanting to maybe score some parts that I let go from my original 32
    Even not 32
    Axle might be salvageable
    Shock
    Spindles
    Front engine mounts etc.
I told my nephew close to 30 yrs younger , I pay him to dig about a foot all the way around but do not try to move any thing , its about 50 or so yards surrounded by fallen big trees ,even rough to get 4 wheeler ,
I would rather been found 2 mouths ago
I hate snakes un less "DARK BLACK"

Hurry and dump some Marvel Mystery Oil down those spark plug holes to free it up! Then dump about five gallons down the intake to help free up the valves. :p At least you will not need a hippopotamus boat!!:D

  10. You may have a usable frame there. All Ford X member frames were prone to rust through where the back legs of the X meet the side rails. Precision Coachworks makes repair sections.

The front shocks and 2 barrel intake say 34. Of course anything could have been changed over the years.

Next time you look at the frame, check out the intake, it looks like aluminum.

The 33./34 came from the factory with a aluminum intake and they bring good money. HRP

Looking at that shock absorber I don’t see the arm connecting it to the front suspension, if the arms are inside the frame rails that brands the ch***is as a ‘33. That was the only Ford that had the arms inside the rails.

Here’s the extra hole for the shock linkage^

It was not uncommon back when to bury old ch***es on riverbanks for flood control or to control erosion. Is it near a creek bed or gulley?

Interested in this, hoping most is still intact. Check for numbers on top of left frame rail. Good luck and keep us in the loop

It actually started out as one of those "I'm gonna restore it one of these days" auto projects.

I never found one that bad but I've found several that had settled down to the frame rails and tried to buy them but alas they were gonna restore them someday...

Did not think there would be so much interest..
No river , creek bank .
Looks just sunk over time , little of a slope above.
There is No sign of body when placed in its spot . Just rolling ch***is
    Frame , Motor , trans , rear .
I do not or have not Hunt.
Been just cars since around 7 ish .
In my Area, most just parked a vehicle when up graded to something different, When my father did his duty in Vietnam @ 18 , @ my grandmother's house there where 8 to 12 55, 57 chev's ,
Video , S media do not do ,
    Just H B .
Over years here in my Area there so much different animal's being seen that was not active or rarely seen , its because of so much building ,
Bears , coyotes ,wolfs, rattlers ,water mocks, Turtles Not a box , these are big
Heads look like remind me of dragon when stick head out , feet claws as big as my hand , big A$$ spiders , not granddaddy long legs , I think I even seen a boar ?
& bob cat ? Its not like I am in mountains , but there certain places I can see in distance about 30ish so away west . I feel I grew up like in Mayberry,
& Raleigh was like 20-30 miles away . feels like Arlington just no skys****ers now . One's from this Area maybe can relate.
back to ch***is , I do not want to disappoint I do not know how long until I get out of ground started on ,
Over last 5 yrs dealing with difficulties.
    & I need @ least 700 square feet of more foot print . @Gary probably know's why .
& Gary the one that did yr 700 ,
he now has I think 13 just in the
32's body's & compleat , not icluding the other 15 or so others . we have vehicle disease . Thats why I was amazed when you built yr's @ yr place with so little ! Back in 90 when Jac built his
5w it was in ground like the pic I posted with foot of body gone & any thing he did roll in roll out
    10 x 14 shed.
To all that responded to thread I will get a few more pic to show its not AI
No one said its IS !!!
I am just not as Active lately .
I know what its like to not have shop ,change engines, trans laying in rain , snow before having to be done to get to work next day , before having a shop & just a carry around tool box .
I use to put close to easily 1k miles on my rides testing new tunes , part , making p***es or just riding In mouth even when fuel was close to 6 for 94 ,
    To others ,
Johnny Rocca Pro /Mod would always tell me
Stay happy motoring & racing !
