Best check your fuel stops along the route & maybe carry a couple gallons just in case. Been on a cruise with andy in the 57 bird. He blew past & when I hit 90 I said bye as I don't need no stinkin speeding ticket.
    Have a safe trip.

Cool Bird ! Make sure you are not running fuel with alcohol blended, that gives lots of vaporlock problems. I heard you might be stopping at the Albaugh collection in Ankeny, if so you gonna love it ! have fun.........well ok like they said above you **** !

Sounds like a very cool trip. And the plus side of getting paid to do it, that is great! Only thing you need to add to your list of things to do the Bird before you leave on your adverture though, please have your avatar airbrushed on the trunklid :D

    Did a lot of traveling in a 60 T-bird.

Remember to turn in the adjusters on the bucket seat back bottoms to get at least a little lean out of those things.

Be sure your cooling system surge tank is in good order.

Then put the pedal to the metal and have fun!

I didn't even know there were adjusters! I need to move the tracks back a few inches too. I'm short and With the seat all the way back Im still too close.

Moved my seat tracks back 1" and it made a world of difference on my '60 Bird.

The T-bird finished its visit to the trans shop. Kickdown is fixed and the trans got a clean bill of health as did the motor. The guy says he can't believe how well the trans works. Hopefully it stays that way for the whole trip.

That sounds like an epic trip in the making. I see you'll be visiting the Starbird museum in Tulsa.. Does that mean y'all will be stopping at the Warricks' in Amarillo?

If so, I'd like to stop by and appreciate some fine automobiles whenever you guys pull in.. :)
