nice ride. therew a lot of good looking work on the details. i had one of these engines in a 62 oldsmobile. the transmissions were crap, what trans are you using and where did you get the adapter? looking to put one of these into my 54 truck.
the manual 4 speed trans and motor come from a Rover SD1 from the early 80's. Quite Easy to adapt .... I'll see if it's crap or not real soon.
Hey Vangogo, you gonna make the Hot Rod Hayride in England come next Summer with yer 'Hot' rod? Sure hope you do! So what's you doin' fer paint an' trim on this 'Daddy'? Tangerine metallic (body)and DEEP DEEP Eggplant (chassis/running gear) perhaps? All the best, Koops.....
Update ! Here it is in it's first public appearence... Koops, don't know yet if I be able to show up at the Hayride... Sure like to...
That thing should be called the jigsaw puzzle, looks like it was a ton of work getting it to that point. Think the frame will be strong enough? How about posting photos of how you built that steering wheel, along with captions in English for us mono-lingual types? You've got a serious 60s show rod vibe going on, I hope you go with a HEAVY flake paint...some painted-to-match or chromed drums up front would look great, too.
There is some neat stuff on that board, some crazy things, along with some really nice fabrication. Just gotta keep clickin' and looking for pictures if you don't read French!
Here's an interesting one, front suicide doors, conventional rears. http://90plan.ovh.net/~rodscust/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2912
Well I don't think so... I can't run them correctly... Damned F***ing carbs !! ....don't you think it's different enough
