Before I start taking things apart, my flathead has combustion pressure in radiator. Some times it blows out 3 qts in a hundred miles, other times nothing. Any suggestions?

Could be a blown out section of a head gasket going into a water p***age. I had it happen to me. I had used aluminum heads, and there was a spot at a water p***age that was eat-up from corrosion, and the copper gasket blew out in that spot, and had smoke coming out of that side's water neck.

New heads and gaskets fixed it.
