I have a Presto lite torch, regulator and a B tank. I wanted the option of using propane, so I bought an adapter at the welding supply it cost $12.50. When I put it together with the propane tank, and I used a striker to lite the torch, as long as I leave the striker about 1 inch in front of the tip it will maintain a blue flame, when I remove th striker the flame goes out. What do I need to do?

It probably needs a propane specific tip if one is available.
    Presto-Lite torches are normally air-acetylene.
Check with your local welding supply.
