Hot Rods price guideline

What is '56 292 "Y" Block motor worth. Very complete, turns over real well, but would most likely need a rebuild.I know it varies but just a high and low range will help.

 

Saw one in the for sale ads at $225. Seemed to be complete and needed a rebuild if I remember correctly. Here is the link.

Anywhere for $100 to $1000, I've seen them all over the map. It can depend on location, how bad you want to sell it, and condition. $200 to $400 seems to be a common price...

 

I got 350 for one once, and had to s**** my last 2 for lack of interest, had em down to 50 bucks

 

2 or 4 barrel on it? What style exhaust manifolds? Those are important parts on a Y block.
