PRIMAL SCREAM ('32 sedan) progress pix...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Junkyard Dog 32, May 20, 2004.

  1. Just a few shots of where I'm at with my deuce project...

I took another inch out of the front of the sub-floor, and that brought the cowl up and the back of the body down. It doesn't have that "broken" look anymore.

This is what it looked like before the second cut...

I cut a '32 lightbar and made stands and used a set of really nice bullet headlights, and dropped in a 400 SBC with a turbo 400*******.

I'm hoping to get the radiator in it, soon, and get it fired. I have a brake pedal and master cylinder ready to go in, and brakelines after that, and it should be ready to roll out for a test flight. Also, I still need bigger meats for the back.

    I hope you guys like...

  4. Mike-I don't think I'm gonna chop it...
Not that I'm not dying to, but I'm selling it, and since it's channeled so far, some taller guys might not fit in it.
I'll chop the black one though... that one's mine [IMG]

Neal- Sorry, but when I made the stands, I cut the bar right in half, first. I bolted them to the frame and used the extra as handles as I heated and bent them, then cut off the extra. You're welcome to the "two" pieces, though. One of the pieces is the tire chock in front of the front tire...

<font color="green">That's cool, I know the wheels and tires are probably just rollers but it reminds me of the old stock cars.

I was gonna ask if the PBR can was gonna be the radiator but you already answered my question!

I like the way the body sits on the frame, then again, I liked the "broken" look also.

    Keep it up.

  8. RASHY- Yeah, they're just rollers... at least I think they are. I'm kinda starting to like the fronts, though. I have some aluminum slots that I could put on the back and I think it would have a trick 60's look.

My plan is to take the rims and tires from my coupe and put them on the sedan for the sale.

I'd like a set of Firestone "Dirt-trackers" on the coupe, with some pizza cutters up front.

That back end has to come down...still looks broke to me...plus..then the tire will look bigger because their taking up more of the body too...

just my opinion...which is about the only thing i got going for me...

  10. TOK- Those are only 14s on the back and they're tiny. I'm sure it'll look more in proportion when I get the right ones on it.
Then there'll be a gas tank in back, which will squat it some, too.

  11. Lookin' good, brutha Joe! Some 16" steelies would really set that C-dan off, tho I think its proportions would benefit from a 2" chop and slightly less channel.

    Nice work!

  14. Lookin good Joe!!! I see you've been busy,I spent today gettin water out of basement again, instead of in the shop.
Louverdude helped me put in a sump pump in exchange for gettin his '32 runnin for back to the fifties.Keep up the good work, and come down again soon with your coupe so we can put a few touches on that for summer road trips.

    Take Care DAN
