Primer Nats afterparty at Kiwi Kevs

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chris Casny, Sep 4, 2006.

  1. First of all I loved the primer nats on saturday but for me it was just the opening act. Kiwi Kev invited us, Bad Bob, Tet**** shot and myself to an afterparty at his house/shop in Ventura.
We arrived and our jaws just dropped. Kev is the real deal, his shop houses an ecclectic collection anything and everything hot rod related.
Dropped axles everywhere, window posts from previous chops line the rafters and amazing tin ads, add to an incredible feel.
We felt like we just entered the holy grail of hot rodding, something we just heard and read about in the past.
He demonstrated his recently completed louver press. I was just ready to take my hood off my car and louver the heck out of it but it wasnt the right time to do it, as party guest arrived.
The pics speak for themselfs but don't really do it justice.

Here's some more fun stuff. The lawnmower on the side of my house doesn't look like that! There's tet****shot bowing to the hotrod GOD in Kiwi's backyard. Dreadman getting some grub. I would have gotten more pic's,but I would've had to get a film crew! Talk about a treasure chest. You could look around for hours, honest! It takes an hour to take a dump, cause of all the old reading materials,How to build a hotrod, racing books, racing posters,I could go on and on.

Thanks Kiwi for the hospitality, the grub, the tour, next time we'll stay longer. Thank your wife too,i'm sure she loves having a bunch of car farts at your house. Bad Bob

  9. I'm glad you guys made it and had a good time. It's so great to have a great show like the Primer nat's in your hometown! Here are a few pics I took. The guy on the left in the first pic is Mike, a friend of mine from work who is pretty good at cooking pigs. And that's my awesome wife of 20 years, Mary. She says she will never divorce me because she doesn't want half of my ****.

  15. Good to hear from you Kiwis. I'm a member of the Scroungers, I've known Chris since the late 70's. Here are a few more pics. I always thought pigs had skeletons but you guys ate everything!! One pic shows why they call them pickup beds. The Willys coupe body isn't for sale. I.guess I'm the old guy who says "I'm gonna fix her up one day".

  17. That's Nick Oteens new bike and it's a Stunner! Believe me, it'll be in all the mag's. The paint is some of the finest I've seen. Nick's a super nice guy, I always enjoy bumping into him at all the shows!

Doh! I should have guessed that you were one of the elite, few, 'Scroungers' :) . Saw Chris the other day - he has been tidying up his shop, well maybe not tidying as such, more rearranging to make room for new arrivals - I am sure you understand the rearranging principle. Better not let too many of his secrets out as he is known to lurk around these parts (hi Chris!).

    Cheers for now ...

Yep, I will be at Puke on Sunday unless it is ******* down. See you there.

  28. For all the non Kiwis reading this, Puke is pronounced Pooky, it's a shortened version of Pukekohe. A big time hot rodding town south of Auckland city.
