Have a question for you paint people out there .I sanded down the ride to looks like primer ,I have some bare metal showing ,I know I need to use etching primer on those spots but do I cover the who car or just spots and then use a epoxy primer .
And on the paint has anyone use that clear coat that give the paint a flatz look instead of a shine, is it hard to put on and make it look good . IMG_0445.JPG IMG_0446.JPG

Epoxy. I had my chassis sandblasted and primed with self-etching primer and stored it for 6-months in a building that is relatively dry. When I took it out, the rust was coming through the primer and I had to re-blast it and re-paint it, but this time with Epoxy - no more problems.

Go with the black, flat epoxy over the whole thing. Someone on here told me the certain brands have UV protection now.

To me the etching would make more since if your hole car was bare ,so if I cover the bare at least and go over it with epoxy that should work and last .
Thanks for all the feed back .
