Technical PRINTED SHRINK TUBE

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by hotrodA, Dec 12, 2023.

  1. I’m having a senior moment.(again)

There was a guy either on here, on FB, or IG that sold packages of printed shrink tube,
with the circuit’s name on each piece, like lights, heater, etc., same as found in wiring kits on the wire.
Checked several wiring folks and searched on here, but zip.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

I don't recall a member doing that, but there are several companies that will print sleeves for you with your design/color/size/qty. Just do a google search.

I use a label maker and print out the circuit name, stick it on the wire, length-wise, and then cover in clear heat shrink tubing. Been doing it that way for years.

I personally would prefer just a set of numbers from 1 thru 99 that were printed on heat shrink and could be slid over each wire. Then you can assign each circuit a number and keep a legend sheet to know what they are. Way less ugly than longer printed sleeves.
We used these in the trade for decades, and I've used them on car wiring jobs also.
