Projects problem in belgium ( europe ) please help

    hi guys,

    my name is gunter and live in belgium own a 1949 chevrolet styline deluxe 4 door .

    now my problem

    this car hase been here so long that the documents are missing !
    i have the vin plates located on the vehicle .
    we like to bring the old lady back on the road .
    so the problem is in belgium the will not help me retreve the proper documents ( to old they tell me)
    no need to try so the lady is sitting in a barn and wil stay there for ever ( me not happy )

    can anyone help me put her back on the road
    what do i need to do ???
    i been told that i need to find a****le from the same type of car an it will be fine (understand this is illigal in usa , but i live in belgium not in usa ;-) )
    is there a legal way or do i realy need to find a new****le

    please help me , i like her to be on the road in place of in the barn

    Search eBay for "1949 Chevrolet****le Certificate."
     
  6. Cannot use "title" in ebay search....use historical vehicle documents.....
    I would not use ebay...a friend found a document for his 54 pickup...they sent him a copy....
    Do a google search it will cover more territory...

    I think you need to find out from the Belgium authorities, who, rightly, might be sadly distracted right now, EXACTLY what you need regarding documentation. Then, the HAMB can help you find that. Until you know just what you need, we're all just fumbling in the dark from long distance.

    It might come down to buying a "car" (or more accutately, a data plate/vin numbers and papers) from the States.
    It might not cost too much to find these items from a totally rusted out junk car.
    Then you "import" your car, as with any other American car.
