That's funny,I'll tell my wife who is a deaf ed teacher it's just that easy. Like the other guys said, you write how you talk and ASL doesn't translate exactly in english. Mat
OK, I'm busted. Sorry to have wise-***ed to you, you're working with a disadvantage none of us understand. I wasn't aware that syntax and grammer are lost to the deaf. The way your question was worded was impossible to understand, I'm sorry to have insulted you. If your question is about wheel shimmy, poor tracking, bump steer, wandering, it could be a matter of worn tie rods, king pins and bushings, poor geometry, king pin inclination (castor) wrong, bent axle, or a combination of any or all the above. Brian
I'm a ****head. Kid, if you are reading this, I'm sorry for being anything other than helpful. If this worked good for awhile but started to develop a shake, pull the wheels off and check the studs, are the wheels seated firmly against the drums? Make sure the studs aren't damaged either, check the wheel holes for out of round too, I've had experience with all of these things causing a weird hopping, rattling ride. Good luck. Don't let the creeps keep you down
this is completely un related..and comment on the Deaf issue..I kinda figured that..I worked with a cl*** of Deaf kids in High Scool..It is very difficult for them to speak as we do..they pick it up much differently..and even when signing it is not in complete sentances like you would think.. He seems well motivated..he will figure it out. But the Steer go faster..Steer go faster..isnt that what Nascar divers are saying all day in their helmets
This thread reminds me of a boss I had. He was 72 years old and only had a 3rd grade education. I guess you could pull your kids out of school that early back then. He could barely read, much less write. He hired a secretary to read all his mail to him and an accountant to do his books. The man was brilliant about business and life. He had 12 people working for him. He fired my *** when I made fun of his adult son's spelling - as well he should have. It was a hard lesson I'll never forget. These days I just ***ume people are smarter than me, even if it's not immediately apparent. Later, that little life-lesson made me lots of money. A different "dumb guy" at a parts counter sent me lots of business for about 3 years because I treated him with genuine respect. He eventually quit and went to work for Frito-Lay, so that source dried up. Countless customers referred others to me because I didn't scoff at their mistakes or make them feel small. I wanted to. Some things they said were just dumb! But I figured they must be smarter in me in other areas. They had, after all, made enough money to hire me to fix their stuff.
I so laughed my *** off, thanks. I know I'll get lotta ***** when I'm committed to the nursing home to be pimped out as a ******** too.
Back to the point, It could be anything that's causing the problem, and from the explanation its hard to say exactly what is happening with the car. It could be bumpsteer, or like Lentz auto said....improper inclination on the king pins....but we don't even know the kind of axle/spring/locater or steering box set up the guy is going with. We need some feedback Satan's Child.... What kind of front end set up is the guy running? maybe take a few pics and post them on here. Also, what kind of steering box, where is it mounted, etc. Nobody can diagnose what's going on until we fully understand the problem and see some pictures of the set up.
sorry, i skimmed over bone daddy's reply in an attempt to byp*** all the gramma dramma... still....pics of the set up would help determine if something is drastically wrong with the geometry of the steering and front end. Like others have said... check wheel bearings, tires, rims, tie rods, make sure thats all good....if the set up did work without problems in the beginning like bone daddy said, then its gotta be something that wore out or got outta whack somehow. sounds like he's moving in the right direction now anyway, good luck
sorry for the english problem i found out the problem was. when he build the car he set the spring perch at 5 degree, but when he set the wish bone on the bottom of the frame, which he didn't realize the axle has to be at 5 degree not the spring perch. the axle was at 15 degree
