Talked to them earlier and haven't gotten anythign straightened out, Theres nothing anywhere sayign they took the money from my account, just that they charged it to my moms card. THe bank has been useless as well, guess I"ll have to wait for my statement, cos I know that cash just didn't disappear.

I don't even think I'm going to wear my mooneyes hat anymore after this ********. Once this is straightened out, they won't have to worry about hearing from me again.

You guys think they got to you.I sent two 16" good tires to them to have Hurst recap them, they told me they could't be caped and they would return them.I forgot all about them and a few months later I went to a sale at their place and they were selling my tires. I jumped on Checo and he gave them back. What would have happened had I not been there? I think they are all screwed up, not like it was when Dean owned It.--TV [IMG]

I bought some acrylic dash knobs at a Greedyguys show. They didn't have enough for me at the show so I paid for all of them and they said they'd send the other three when they got home. Waited weeks, called, out of stock. Called and called. Finally called one day and they said they were filling orders for them. However nobody checked the back orders and until I got hot about not filling back orders first they didn't want to send me mine. They wanted to fill the new orders they had for them and have ME "WAIT FOR THE NEXT SHIPMENT." I blew my stack and finally got them. If it ain't on the table I ain't buyin.

I can tell you that dealing with mooneyes is a horror story. I am one of their dealers. They have done nothing for me besides screw me constantly on every single order Ive ever placed with them. Half of the time when they arent screwing up an order, charging a screwed up amount, or shipping to the wrong locations, they are sending junk products. I have yet to get a good tach from them. Their gauge sets that cost a cool hundred bucks more than autometer are screwed up half the time, and yes they never have stuff in stock. I will tell you this though, if you still insist on buying moon products, call and ask for Robin or Bob. Bob seems to know everything about everything there. Robin is the only person I deal with now as she has taken care of my problems and I haven't had a mischarged or shipping problem since I started dealing with her. There is still the product quality problem and out of stock problem that her or Bob can do nothing about. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT DEAL WITH DAN! He is a friggin idiot. He knows nothing but picking his nose. He cant ship right, bill right, and he doesnt know anything about their products what-so-ever. I hope that some of this info will help you guys out and sorry I dont have better news for you. When I became a dealer of their stuff I knew nothing of the problems they had. Its really sad to see a company that could be so much piss it all away. I do think that if you want moon stuff you better buy it now because at the rate they are going they cant stay open too much longer.

All I know is before you even attempt to buy a Tach from them, find out how long before they get it in stock, some of the products have been back ordered for months and months. I doubt you would get it by christmas.

This is an old post and I remember posting on another thread about them in the spring complaining about the 5 week wait for some guages, but my sister ordered some one piece tail light lens for my 54 as a birthday present and I got them in 3 days, that was really cool ,maybe they are getting better? I totally understand your fustration with that place though.

They have messed up several of my orders. The last thing I ordered from them took 6 months to be delivered and I had to call them three times to make that happen.

seriously, i think they have some good stuff, but it is worth it to go down to the shop as opposed to ordering from them. if that isnt a possibility, its probably worth setting something up with a socal hamber, whereby they take your bucks, buy your stuff directly from the store and take care of the mailing for you, without getting the credit cards involved and what not. for a nominal fee, of course :D :D

Even though this is an old thread...since someone brought it back up, I thought I'd share my experience.

I just ordered a 4qt chopper Moon tank & brackets, and a few other odds and ends on Wednesday of last week. My stuff got here on Monday of this week. It was carefully packed and was exactly what I ordered.

I think it makes a difference if you actually call them to ask if what you are ordering is in stock. Case in point, the 4qt tank...I called to make sure they had one before I ordered online. Just in case, I wrote down the part numbers of everything I needed, so they could check everything else I was going to order to make sure they had it. When I called, I got 'Dan', and he said, "Well, our guy who makes our tanks just went on vacation, and since we make the tanks to order, it's going to be the middle of September before we would have one ready."

I was ready to just say forget about it, but I asked if he would double check to see if they might have one in stock. He found one, and I ordered the rest of my stuff and it was all in stock as well. No problems, freight was actually cheaper than what he estimated...and it all got here in the 5 days he said it would take.

My suggestion is to pick up the phone and CALL THEM before you actually place an order. Then you'll have a better idea of how long it's actually going to take to get something. If they say a month, then I'd consider trying to find what you need somewhere else, like through one of their dealers.

Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones, but I think actual human contact with them may make a difference.

Every time these Mooneyes complaint threads resurface, it reminds me to go check out the Moon site see if they've got any new cool gadgets. You guys complaining are probably inadvertently drumming up more business for them. By the way, they've got a neato push ****on shifter setup now, pricy and all, but shiny and cool to look at anyway.

Not from me! I have avoided all suppliers with bad reps from HAMBers. Unfortunately I was unaware of Stockton Wheel and am still dealing with trying to get my money back, but that's another story. I will probably never order from Moon. There's too many other companies trying harder to please me that deserve my business. And those are the ones that will get it. In this time when companies can't spell customer service, let alone perform it, it means a lot to me to deal with a company that truly appreciates where it's bread is ****ered.

  16. I started a thread on this topic a couple of weeks ago. The sent me the same thing twice two months apart. I only wanted one and only ordered one. Got my refund invoice yesterday.

Couple of years ago I ordered there SBC oil pan and TH-350 pan. They were on special with a package price. They sent me a pan for a TH-400.
