Had a small break on the 32 project so I figured I would get Tonys rail in the jig and get the perimeter knocked out. I got it all boxed and this weekend got the rear crossmember made, and installed the front, center, and rear crossmembers, Gonna pick up the rearend from Tony tomorrow and start getting the rearend set up for a buggy spring and some shop built ladder bars Rusty
I love frame fabrication post with pictures! It is looking really nice. I will keep checking back for more updates.
I can't even dream of welds that nice and good...I can't say enough about Rusty's knowledge and skills
I feel your pain about the heat, it has been freaking hot lately! I have had to fire up 26 fans to try & keep it workable too. The frame looks great Rusty, it looks like you & your tig welder are best friends now-nice work!! Dan
Finally got some updates shots, Narrowed the rearend housing, made the ladder bars, all the rearend brackets, got the rear spring hangers on, motor mounts in, and the modifications to allow the 700r4 to fit in the ch***is engineering center x done. heres the pics Rearend housing in the jig Rear spring hangers Clearance issues with the 700r4 Fixed problem And the ole Motor mounts Now that the ****** is in place I can set the ladder bar mounts up Rusty
Hope you're using some heavy duty springs on that buggy, Tony's not just a little feller ya know . Looking good there buddy, keep it up. Did I miss the mill portion?, what motor are you going to use? and what gears in that rear end?
Gary your just jealouos cause i'm a full-figured guy The motor is a stand by sbc. The rear is a 9 inch with 3.73 gears which i think will work well with the 700r ******.. Man...what a day, finally p***ed my state algebra exam for my education cl*** and Rusty text me to say updates are up... Special Thanks to Rusty and anyone wanting ch***is work done you owe it to yourself to work with him... I promise he will treat you more than fair and his quality of work speaks for itself
