He spent most of the day welding inner A posts that werent welded completly when it was chopped back in the day,And finishing up some stress cracks on drivers rear quarter. Then the haeder area above windshield was removed for inner structure repair. And to repair the skin. Also note that he has repaired The A piller skin..More on monday JOHN

Inner header structure is straight and about 100% welded. He found the original chop was cut about a quarter inch out and they simply pust back a piece of A piller skin to correct it. Pretty amazing its lasted since the fiftys. And would have gone unnoticed had the car never been wrecked...Here some pics of the progress. If you study them you can see the change....JOHN

Do you have any information on the color that's on your car? At least on the computer it's almost a carbon copy of the color on my '32 5w. Mine was painted in 1962 with the then new color Honduras Maroon that came on the '62 vettes. That was the last year the car was driven before I got it in 1973 and I've driven it a total of 6 blocks since the title has been put in my name so don't feel bad about it being 4 years since you aquired yours. Long story for why it's set for so long but all of the parts are laying here when the time comes.

Also passenger cowl side patch panel made. and it is amazing it was made using hammers and dollys and a block of wood and looks crisper than the panels I had bought....He jumps around a little but Hes getting it done.....Thanks JOHN

It's always nice to see these cars brought back..after seeing all your progress I'm going to have to pull my plymouth out and play with it. your car sits great.
anyway you can tell me the distance from your firewall to the front axle centerline?
