I made it down to Walker's today and snapped some more pictures of my sedan outside. Here's the profile shots you asked for Chris.
these guys have it down...period the style of both the 33s are my kind of cars the sedan is looking perfect walkers stance is music to my eyes man spoke with jerry last week, cool guy and really helpfull dont be shocked when my 32 5w has a similar stance you cant beat this look
It's going to end up with a louvered aluminum insert in the top. Saw the driveshaft at the shop yesterday so if your going to try to ******** me your going to have to come up with a better story.
Thanks Whitey. Jerry mentioned that he had talked to you when I was at the shop. You'll have to post pictures of the 5W build so we can check it out.
Nice looking car! Is the firewall stock or moved back? It doesnt look like it has been cut very much? Also what rear end did you use? (also what width) Keep her rolling!
Thanks. The firewall has been moved back. The guys repaired the original firewall by cutting out what was bad and splicing in a piece from another firewall. When they set the body back on the frame they wanted to get a little more clearance so they removed metal from in front and in back of the rib on the top of the firewall. The rear end is a narrowed Ford 9". If I remember correctly I think Jerry told me it was 2" wider than the stock '34 rear end. Unfortunately I don't know the total width of the rear end.
looookin good man!!! ya still got the 49 olds? sacred pistons usual party down in pittsburgh may 25th at the same spot as usual check out my 50 coupe http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=239775
34 sedans don't get the recognition they deserve. This one is very nice! What kind of headers are those.
Thanks Flop. I still have the Olds, it's a keeper along with the '34. Unfortunately I'm probably not going to make the party this year. Most likely I will be at Beatersville in Louisville that weekend. I checked out your coupe and it's looking good.
Thanks. The headers are for '35-'48 fat fendered Fords. The guys at Walker's cut off the original collectors and added the turnouts. It made a huge difference in the appreance to me.
whens the spin out this year ya still havin that? gotta see how my 47 likes the highway with the new 355 gears
The Spin Out is July 26th at Gougler Park in Brimfield, Ohio. I should be posting the info on the Hamb soon, still working out some details.
great work on that firewall. I like it that you made the mods to fit the engine but kept the stock look of the firewall. Great job!
This thing is *****in'. I was really exited to find this thread as I have a similar project in the works. What size tires are those and what is the brake/clutch pedal ***embly? Awesome.
Thanks guyontheHAMB. The car has the same K member that is used in the Brookville Roadster '32 frames. The brake/clutch pedal ***embly fits that K member. The front tires are 450/475-16 Firestones and the rears are 750-16 Firestones.
I've really only got one word coming to mind SICKNESS! (in a good way) You nailed it with the stance, I usually prefer alot lower cars, but that is spot on with that body.
Well, loud enough to get a $125.00 ticket for open exhaust from one of Ohio's finest. I quote "If I can hear your car with my windows up over my patrol radio and the regular radio, it's too loud". I did get some enjoyment out of him getting carbon all over his hands when he checked for the baffles.
Well I figured now would be a good time to post the latest update. I've been so busy driving the car I haven't been on the HAMB much to update the post.
huh i am a dumb **** you are the one going 85 with your two boys in the back with no seats and no seatbelts know who is the dumb ****.........sorry to hear about your ticket................
The car is looking real good, I can't wait to see it in person. I thought I saw your Olds the other night at Quaker Steak and Lube, were you there? And BTW, where did ya get the ticket at?
