Projects Progress on Rocky's 34 coupe..last update 9/30/2020

HA! Yeah, Allen....it's been over 20 years since Scotty and I have terrorized the Omaha area. It's good to have him around again. He's been a great help on the car too. Now, get your 55 or your 40 ford on the road.

 

Got the inside primed in epoxy primer and we're going back together with the car now.

 

Man I’ve seen some paranoid people but tin foil hats for your shifter and e brake? Dang!

This is looking good Rocky. Been some time since I checked in on ya. Keep on keeping on and you will have this on the road soon.

Alright you dipsticks! The tin-hat covering for my ebrake and shifter is common tin foil to act as masking to keep the paint off them. Thanks all for the replies and Flamedabone....thanks a million for the nice gift in the mail. Totally a mystery to me but thanks again!!!!!!

 

Just busting on ya rocky. Thats a great way to keep sprayed stuff off the important interior stuff and I will be doing the same on my roadster when I spray the lizard skin.

Having trouble getting photos from my phone to my computer....but Scotty and I got the car about ready to cruise around the block tomorrow or Thursday....but I want to primer it Thursday if the weather is ok...doing it in my driveway. It looks like we may actually make the deadline and drive this ****er to Joplin!

 

HA! got it...here's what it looks like right now. Got the car insured, registered, licensed [Hagarty] and legal as possible. Putting the decklid back on was no fun...windshield is down at the gl*** shop getting the damned windshield rubber put on. I had 2 buddies helping me try to install it last night with no luck...sent it to the gl*** shop.

 

But wait!! There's more! A buddy knew I was looking for the inside header piece for my coupe and gave me the one from his 33, 3 window. Been looking for 10 years for this piece!!!!!!!!

 

Go man go... looks excellent, and just on time. It’s still July for a few hours.
