Between Work and paper work, I've been working on the car...Saturday Ken and I made some templates of the "good" side and made the "bad" side fit them the best we could....six hours later we got them close enough...

This isn't a customer car.... and I don't have the time to make it as nice as one... It will require a light coat...but it's gonna be fun,,,when it's done!:D

Anyway, a few shots of progress to the body, and a couple of the front frame section... no where near done, btw...I made the front rails long... if they are too long with the nose on it, I'll shorten them.

It all looks kinda wierd right now when I stand back and look at it, but I'm thinkin' it will come out neat.

    Take Care,
    HRD:cool:

Oh... And the six hours were spent behind the paint line, still need to fix the front part of the rear section....not to mention body framing,,, floor....and everything else that makes a car....

I will be missing the drags again this year ( I have a room reserved!! call me!;) )

As well as the Pile Up!! Just got back with my old blues band, and with building my car, I think I can missa few fun shows....

    Any way......

Are those circles on the front frame rails die stamped or is that an overlay on the rails? I've never seen that before....sorry of this is a bumb***ed question. Looks good on the mating the body to the frame contours. I know it's slow work-better to undercut 5 times that overcut once-D'OH!

Yeah, The belled hole is die stamped and then I welded a plug from a 3" hole saw behind it... The original idea was to have the holes go all the way thru the frame but after my dad did it to his roadster pick-up, I realized it was more work/time then I wanted to do or have...So he suggested this, he's seen them on Bugotti's I believe.
It solves the whole "how do you paint them" debate also...I will be doing this to all the belled holes in the boxing plates.

    Thanks,
    HRD
