56 olds lenses, were on the car when I got it. I've got a website somwhere that sells new ones for like $40 a piece. I need a replacement for the p***enger side, it's cracked and glued back together!

 

I agree about the 'caps, and I can sure understand your $ situation.
I would think the baby moons would look better (more '60s) than the spinners.
How would it look with gloss black wheels with the moons, or maybe a contrasting color?

The flake looks awesome. Great job.

 

I might have to put the moons back on, it looks like the "spinner" on the caps might hit the quarters on the back wheels when I hit bumps.....I'm gonna catch hell from the ol lady for getting those and not being able to run em....

 

Few more pics, got it back together and cleaned up. Still need to sand the hood and trunk a little more and buff em back out, but it was good enough to cruise tonight! SHould've took some pics before it got dark but oh well.

i gotta agree that i think even fogging the wheels would be a better choice. and if you've got a little of your paint left it wouldn't even cost you anything. then you can bring the caps to hrw and set them in front of the car with FOR SALE in front of them. maybe give you hotel money for the night or something. it looks good. damned good...ken....

Not sure that we're even gonna make it to HRW. money is so tight we're most likely not gonna be able to afford a Hotel room for the night. Plus the main point was for me to get some lines down from Igor, sure as hell ain't happenin' poor. If the ol lady wasn't goign I'd just sleep in the car, but I'm not even trying that with her.....

I'll keep plugging away and hope for the best.

 

I just love flake and you're doing it right. I wish I could see this car in person. I'll be flaking my roof in the next couple of weeks. After seeing yours, I wish I could afford both time and money to flake the whole car. Looks great and thanks for the pics.
