My son and I are building a 1930 Model A sedan... no doors yet. If we finish and still have no doors, who cares! I have a Jeep, so I'm used to driving without doors, anyway!

Did you have a tough time finding four good wire wheels? I see lots of wires but I'm told that finding a set of four that don't suck is kind of a challenge?
Na, not at all the 35 wires on the front wasn't that hard the rears that are off a 32 was a little harder.
272,292 or 312???? Dig that full dressed Y-Block. I have no idea why period perfect people like us don't use more of these! The are bitchen lil under estimated engines! Les Ritchie's Performance Associates made those suckers run like stink!!!! That coupe is looking real good the Kennedy! Job well done!
I did have a tough time, we found them but when you go to get them balanced and mounted you tend to find out they are no good.
I had a hard time getting them balanced nobodys wheel balance machine would fit the wheel. I had to have mine bubble balanced.
I just wanted to say that this car is going to be absolutly beautiful when it's completed. You have a great eye.
love the colors....killer version of simple elegance!!! love the 35 dash too. Nice touch. I spotted something on yer koop that I am interested in for mine. What are the rear lid hinges from? They look like a little cars hood hinges....were they hard to install? got any shots of em during build? Ive been looking at getting away from the stockers and this looks like what I had in mine. Thanks.
I made them and they are a pain in the butt to make! I tried to duplicate a 34 hinge as close as possible.
Looking great!! One question though, and I think it's just an optical illusion. Are the headers gonna hit the doors? It's been bugging me for a hour, but it's prolly just the way the pics look Edit...gotta be my lack of sleep, I just looked at the pics again and I think it's the angle of the one pic, lookint at the steering wheel from right outside the door.
Tom was telling me I'd be lucky to find four good ones out of ten. I really like the wires but I don't know if I want to go through that. Seeing your car makes me think that maybe I do though. It's sweet.
[i love the y block . 292 0r 312 .i have always wanted a coupe like yours it is one of the coolest i have seen. i have got a .060 bored 312 in a T . same intake and valve covers as yours. got a 56 victoria with a 292 with two fours. if you ever need parts for a y block get in touch we hve about 50 or so engines and lots of 3x2 and 2x4 . i hve a 6x2 i am thinking about putting on my car. we are not a business just y-block and FE freaks. ps... we hold the record for the highest horsepower naturally aspirated y block it is 352 cid and makes 500.4 hp, with no assistance.
great car. brings me to a point. isn't it funny how you sometimes think, "ha, i haven't seen that before. i'm gonna do it." sure enough the next day you see someone going down the road having already done it and one step ahead of you.
