first impression i had is that maybe the grille should be moved inwards 1-2 inches or something?, otherwise the car has improved alot!, looks really good, turned from a "****box" into a real custom...
**** I nearly missed this ,I have been waiting to see your chevy built up .Looking good ,yours is one of the cars I follow closley. Seeing your boy I have just realised I need to get the finger out and get my car finished, they grow so quick my girl is five.Just think of the fun your kids will have growing up with that car.
Nads, tell me more about the "trim modification". We just picked up a set of 56 Buick trim for my buddy's 52 Chevy this weekend.
I liked your old wheels ALOT! here's what it would look like with the skirts back on and your old wheels on your new WWWs. Not that I don't like the caps... I just love the chrome steelies.
Looks GREAT Nads! At the rate my front bumper is coming along at the plater I'll be running front bumperless for a bit this summer as well. xoxoxo
Nads the car came out ****in bad***- when it's sitting on the ground people are going to break their necks looking at it. I know you want to be practical and cruise the car, but if it was mine I think I'd take another inch and a half out of the roof- other than that i would do exactly the same thing- the body and paint is rad!
what's the matter with hangin' out at your carport? that was as much fun as a whole week's worth of amu*****t parks. the Draglinks are all good guys, i can't wait to get back down that way... and yeah, she's most definitely hot
Mike I really like that Photoshop. The chrome reverse wheels are hiding beneath the hubcaps, they're in rough shape though. I was thinking maybe I could do a Bob Bleed style faded paint job on them with trim rings and spiders, that would look cool. Not too many folks dig the hubcaps sadly, including my wife. Someone said they were '80s aftermarket JC Whitney jobs, I don't think so. I just bought a set of old Lancers, I'll see what they look like. Plowboy, by heavily modified '56 Buick trim I meant the pieces are just cut, it's a ***** of a job and I didn't do it right. I just folded the edges as best as I could. Looks good from ten feet. The proper way of doing it is the Cole Foster way as outlined in a mag a few months ago. The ends should be cut and filled and tig welded. I'm gonna try my hand at cutting my own side gl*** seeing as how everybody around here ****s, it's $125 for a piece of 36" x 84", it should be more than enough.
god damn nads, you should be damn proud of yourself...i saw your car a few years ago at Lead East...What a freakin difference!! looks absolutely killer....bob
