Its a neat old truck with cl*** so take it slow and easy and do it the right way and what ever is good for you. Oldest truck I have is a 51 and still looking for some 36-37 out there that I can afford.

It is looking very nice. The channel with fenders and running boards makes a nice early style hot rodded truck that is not often seen. There are a handful built in that manner that are very fine.

Channeled, fendered... your on your way. You can always chop it after you get it all running and driving and make sure the chop is what you really want... Nothing wrong with an unchopped cool truck like yours..

Cool Truck! My $.02 on the chop. 2" - 3" max. Any more than that I think you'll find you will then need to shorten the bed to keep the proportions right.
But Hey! its your ride, do it your way.
