I got my stainless exterior body trim installed and finished painting the wheels and mounted the new tires,,,man,it's starting to look like a real car.

I can't wait to push the car out in the sunlight and step back and get a better view.:) HRP

WOW!!! I remember when you first started this project. It sure is turning out great. I don't remember, is that the origional color?
What does your wife say about the fact the end is in sight? Is she looking forward to driving it again? Keep us informed as you near the finish line.

Thanks Frank,,I'm sure you remember just how rough this old car was,,,103 patch panels,3,300lbs of sand and several sheets of 4'x8' sheet metal and help from several friends.,,labor of love.

The color is nothing like the original dark green or the metallic green paint job in the late 60's.but we did repaint in the original 2 tone style of green and cream.

Brenda is pretty happy and more than ready to drive this car again,,you may remember this car was bought by her grandmother off the Ford dealers show room floor,,so it means a lot to her.HRP

Not my cup of tea, but nice work all the same and that is all that counts.
It should turn a few heads when done.

Why not go ahead and install the chrome grill pieces :D :)

FYI ... I got the chrome stuff back from Advance Plating today ... I handed it to Tom of Advance @ Charlotte NC Goodguys ;)

The 54 is looking good ... lots better than when we took it to Georgia a few years ago.

The rear of the body is about finished, lift gate hung and tailgate installed,a little jewelry with the Ford Crest,I also found my tail light lens, still waiting on the chrome shop to finish the base for the tag light and the handle for the lift gate.

NOW i can turn my attention to the engine and transmission,do some painting and adding a few shiny bits and pieces here and there after it's been siting in the corner for a few years. HRP
