You guys are right I should have added a few before photos,,I guess now is as good a time as any.

The car spent 20 years sitting in this spot.

    Pulled out of the barn.

Some of the rust that had to be repaired,,floors were gone also.

After many months,,107 patch panels and 3,300 lbs of sand used in the sand blaster,,

Thank you guys,,I appreciate the comments.

Thank you Mark, you already know I love your wagon.:)

Thank you both,I can always count on the Sock Fokker's :D

Thank you buddy,,labor of love describes the car to a T.

Thank you man,It means a lot coming from a hamber that's been here for years.

    You got it backwards,,I lost

Yeah, due to the long history and spending way to many hours in the garage I can assure you both the Wagon is gonna be a keeper,,some day it will belong to one of our kids or grandchildren.

Below is a picture of the wagon and Brenda and her mother.

Thank you Randy, when you see light at the end of the tunnel,,BEWARE!,,it might be another train! Ha,ha.

I drove the sedan Saturday and plan on driving it this coming Sunday with my wife and granddaughter to a Early Ford V8 meeting and chili cook!

    Thanks guys.

Thank you Gary, you being a long time friend and fellow club member I know how much you like wagons.

BTW,,Brenda and I were talking about Fred last night and we have talked about putting a small photo album together of our family history and close friends that we thought would be here and get to ride when we got the car on the road.

We will keep it in the glove box.

    Thank you Larry.

    Thank you,,we are still looking.

    Your not the only one.

Thank you Doug and I wish you all the luck in the world finding the right wagon for yourself.

Ken,unfortunately I was too dumb to try and acquire it,,, Brenda's grandmother traded it for a ''68 Econoline short wheel base van.

    QUOTE=rld14;7323389]Very nice Danny!

Can't wait to see the finished product! :D[/QUOTE]

    Thank you guys,,,HRP

Really a neat ride. I love the old station wagons and the sedan delivery's. Currently I have a 52 courier in paint right now with the warmed up flatty and OD. Your doing a fantastic job on the repairs so please keep us posted.

    Closer and closer and closer.
The time is soon coming when there will be two huge grins riding in a beautiful wagon.

I'm anxious to see you taking it for a spin also!

My thrill will be seeing Brenda and you stylin' in the car.

I'm not so much interested in a ride, although I'll never refuse one.

The wrinkles in the headliner will smooth themselves out over time, or you can steam them out in a few minutes. Steam shrinks the material and makes it stretch tight.

    Thank you Ken.

I was hoping that once the car sat out in the sun and got warm that would help,,if not I will look for someone with a steamer.

    Thank you. HRP

We removed the upholstery that was installed on all the door panels in the 1970's and found the original upholstery hiding beneath ,,rotten but still intact.

The next step was to make a poster board template, this helped aline all the clips and that hold the upholstery board in place.

And this is the finished board after all the holes are transferred, instead of material across the bottom we are going to use carpet.
I found a piece of replacement vinyl top trim at the Upholstery shop and I'm hoping to use that to separate the material from the carpet.

Tonight the passenger side door panel was hung,,the arm rest still need covering, the window crank and door handle holes haven't been cut and the carpet needs to be added at the bottom but we are really happy with the look.HRP

That is one nice looking door panel! The carpet on the bottom is a nice feature.

My Dad had a '53 Ranch wagon back in 1958 or '59 when I was 13/14 that he would take the family to Terminal Island in the L.A. Cal. port area to go fishing.
Thanks for bring that back to an old man!

Thank you and yes the car is painted a non-metallic,,as for the color it started off as #833 on a old Dupont color chart but Brenda didn't like the color once it dried on the sample panel so there was some more white, yellow and a touch of red added to the mix.

We went back to the paint store several time before she was happy with the color. HRP

In other words, this is Brenda's own custom blended color of green. :D

    Thanks.
