Nice to see somebody making headway on their car.

I miss the tall pines of the southeast. Just finished my 10th PA winter and I'm very homesick for Georgia.

Thanks for the look. Keep rocking.

Man, I'm jealous... I didn't get much done this weekend at all.

What year is the wagon? I have a '55 that I'm almost done with the floors on and just getting ready to start on the body... I'll try to post pics real soon in case anyone cares...

What did you do to the frame to treat it? Trying to figure out the best way to get the grime and rust off and treat it and coat it...

Yeah,we had 6" of the white stuff thursday and by Saturday it was gone ,,,we were out in the drive way working on the wagon with the temps in the mid 60's,,,,,,,,gives new meaning to the term SUNNY SOUTH!,,,

The car does look better now than a couple of weeks ago..

The wagon is a 54 ford ranch wagon,,,,wifes grandmother purchased it new,,,,,,,,,,,shame it wasn't that why when we started on it!

On the frame I'm going to use a wire wheel, wire brush, and a putty knife to remove mud, crud, oil and surface rust and crawl under the car with a good oil base red oxide primer and a brush and give it a good coat and when it drys in a couple of days I'll coat it with a good oil based black semi-gloss polyurethane enamel. HRP

All work on the car to this point was floors and exterior patch panels,,,,,,,,,,the frame is in good shape because it has been in storage for close to 25 years.....but the car was used as a flower shop delivery car and stayed wet insie all the time......guess thats what caused a lotta rust out in the floors and rear quarters...HRP

Awesome !!! That's looking great! I've got a 53 Ranchwagon I'm working on. You're waaay ahead of me. I think every early ranchwagon is a complete rustbucket. I'm replacing the whole lower 9 inches on mine. I picked up a seconnd wagon for parts, so if you need sumpin maybe I can help out [IMG]
