Technical PROGRESS REPORT, UPDATED, NOW WITH MORE PICS

Don't look too close as "this aint your HAMBers automobile" to steal a phrase form the defunct Olds ad men. It has been a while so I thought I would post up some updated photos of the body work.

As you will recall from earlier episodes, I hacked in a cowl vent that bought off of one of own in CA. It has been a process but nearly ready for paint. This shot shows the hood fit as well at the cowl with cowl seal and vent seal in place to set the height and gaps.

Here is a shot down the hood, tight against the grill and the "Stromberg porthole" (as I like to refer to it).
And of course it is sans louvres, tres bien.

Tight and right! Body was stripped of the e-coat that was on the bare metal to protect it form the PNW weather over the last few years I've been working on it. Then polyester primer, high build, lots of blocking, more high build, more blocking...repeat if necessary and it was. Note sweet drop to the grille, that took a ton of time.

Eliminating low spots and perfecting gaps (I know, I know, tight gaps are for dentists not hot rods). But I dance to a different drummer (one armed, union jack tee shirt).

One more of the grille, if you compare it to the picture on top of the thread you can see the dramatic drop in elevation that resulted in a **** ton of body work, but worth it in the end.
