Finally got it running and driving! Pretty exciting! I know it looks like **** but that comes later. Working the bugs out. Literally. Fortunately I found the mud dauber nest on the radiator hose before installing on my new radiator! No power brakes. Big nest in vac*** hose and another in the booster check valve. Easy fix.

IMG_2182.JPG IMG_2184.JPG No shocks on car on that drive. Bottomed out easily. Front was two inches lower than rear ( 3 in blocks) so I made some 2 in spacers. Wish I had researched that a bit before I made and installed because they raised it four inches! Took it back apart and cut them down to one inch. And a 1/4 in isolator. Now it's about 3/4 higher. Close enough at this stage.

Brakes need work. Steering is stiff at idle, better if rpm's come up. It's a pump off a race car so I will have to tune it  or replace it. Front shocks on now the ride is better. Exhaust sounds Awesome!

Worst problem is AOD not shifting. Adjusted the tv cable to about 3-4 psi at idle, added a return spring at ******. I am su****ious the 2:79 rear gears have something to do with it.

The car is going to look awesome. Just something about it that looks right. Keep plugging away!
BTW, I couldn't remember why I was remembering West til I googled it. tragic event there a few years back. I hope no close family members were involved. With a town that small, you have had to at least have friends or aqauintences involved. Others may remember a huge explosion at a (fertilizer?) plant that killed a number of first responders to what began as just a fire. Neat feature of this forum....if you bring your cursor over the city below the member's avatar and click on it, it will go right to a google map location, in most cases with pics of the city off to the side. In DIYGUY's case, it brought up pics of the explosion site as well.

    Thanks guys for the compliments.
Just recently the city settled in a lawsuit against a bunch of businesses for 10 million dollars. There was of course a lot of damage and that will certainly help this tight knit community. We live about 6 miles away in the country and the explosion was heard and felt at the time.
Tex, I am on my phone mostly but I will try your trick shortly!

I use it frequently. I'm always curious about different parts of the country and how the different cities and towns look. Check Rui's location....man, it's a beautiful seaside resort area. Never would have guessed.
