   Multiple carbs come with multiple issues , 2x1 , 2x2 ,2x4 , all suffer from MOL the same issues .

   Carter did not use gears, but on at least one of the carbs built for NASCAR racing, the primary/secondary were 1:1. Impossible to drive on the street.
