This afternoons project was in the Arts and Crafts type. Now that I’ve got things buttoned up on the frame and filler. It was time to start laying out the sheetmetal templates. It was a long afternoon of cutting heavy floor protection for templates. Started out laying out the main structure panels first After staring at the tank enclosure I decided it didn’t look as finished as I would like. So I added “wings” to the enclosure They will be mounted after the main tank enclosure will be mounted and will finish off the look and seal the entire rear of the car from the passenger cabin. It has to work ... I see I’m in my brain Like the rest of this thing I call a hotrod. I’m adding a ton of work to my plate but it’ll be how I want it to be in the end. Thanks to everyone throwing roses at me ... Im hard on myself. Even though this is the first car I’ve ever built, I expect a lot of myself. I push myself to do the best I can with everything. nice bulkhead, I like you extending it to the body sides... nows the time to make a couple access doors that take advantage of the space either side of the tank... your tools and skills will make a handy stash for a first aid kit, nylon towstrap, small toolbag, quart of oil, jug of water, blanket... etc. … you certainly don't need my advice, go mike go !

I was extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to buy a rare set of Early ford pattern Accessory Wheels made by Carter Mfg. for Firestone Tire Co in the mid 30’s. They have a Cast Steel Center that is riveted to a steel hoop. They were originally Chrome center with a black hoop. They’ll be all painted once the good weather comes. These are 17” and will find their home under the sedan or roadster when the time comes. They’re fresh from the Sand Blaster. They primed them for me and they’re looking like the Cats Ass. Found that early Chevy Baby Moons have a similar Dimension on the lip to fit inside the wheel. The original caps for these wheels are a bit bulky and more rare than the wheels themselves. wow, I bet they looked awesome with the chrome and black hoop. did the caps get painted body color originally? they are going to look great on the car.

Quick modification to my Woodward Fab Bead roller this am. Purchased a 20” Boat Stainless Steel steering wheel off Facebook Marketplace early this week for $20 The supplied crank is 10” and create a 20” throw. So I figured the 20” wheel would be just right. Took some time to modify it, about 30 minutes of work will make a world of difference in my bead rolling game [emoji16][emoji1360] Added a 3/8” spacer made from DOM tubing behind the wheel Took a 1/8” spacer welded a flat washer to it. Drilled and tapped the lower shaft to accept the bolt. The outside spacer / collar and the inside spacer pinch the wheel onto the shaft. Also added a set bolt to hold the wheel from spinning on the shaft. Enjoy the day fellas !

Those magnets are nice, it's hard to find any that are strong enough to hold anything. Good job on the fuel neck, I got the stuff to do mine today.
