Hey Ace, any updates? I just picked up a 53 Super Wasp in about the same condition as your Hudson and am doing a similar build. I think I have turn signals and fender chrome Im not using. Not sure if its the same for your car. I also have a bunch of bumper guards from my car and my fathers 49. I know you mentioned you might make a custom grille.

Hope to see an update! Keep up the good work!

Hey man thanks, I am interested in the side chrome if its the chrome strips the follow the body line on the side. I ended up taking the car to the carshow that I wanted but ended up not getting it completely put together. I was super straped for time. On top of all of that my camera broke and the only picture I have of it sence it was painted is the one I posted. I hope I can use my buddys camera tomorrow to get you guys some better pictures. My buddy also has a front bumper off of a 49 Caddy that fits almost perfect. I will also post those pictures of the bumper on the car.

Here is a couple pictures the car, still far from perfect but the Primer makes it look worse. My paint gun was acting funny and made the primer look choppy. Also the bumber was just sitting on the car.

Looks good! I do have the side chrome but it is in really tough shape. The previous owner had pulled them off and some are bent and they are all painted. PM me if you want them, I'll ship them out to you if you pay the shipping. Heres a few pics of my mess. Im working on fixing all the rust, fitting in a 53 chevy grille, frenching headlights, frenching caddy tail lights, shaving everything, and I have a 54 Desoto front bumper that fits nicely.

How do you plan on lowering?

I'd also like to pick your brain on the V8 Engine mounts, since the big 6 mounts are way at the front of the car.

I am planning on cutting the front springs and lowering blocks for right now. But eventually I'm going to put air bags on it. As for the engine I'm going to make my own mounts. I will not be using the front engine mounts.
