No more stupid fake side vents, and removal the dummy spots. Already looks more streamline!

Wall mural parts collection...dummy spots turned to sconces to come!

Sam (cornbinder) had this, and even used it to rebuild the carb. I need to get it laminated or something to keep it from further deterioration.

And then just some artsy-fartsy pics...have always loved macro photography of worn out and old stuff.

Well, this is a budge build for the time being-necessities first, like floor pans, all new brakes, and I already have lowering blocks for it. Also have an Offy dual carb intake that needs to go on once she's running good as well as a split manifold. Then it'll be "new" interior and we are rolling. Long term will be straightening the very few areas that need it, and paint. That's a year or so out. I just want to drive it now!!

A thanks to MartyB33, went out there last night to pick up a battery. A simple trip turned into an amazing night just talking hot rods, and checking out his cars. Just outstanding. It is guys like him that make this hobby what it was and is. Keeps me inspiring for even more, and it is guys like him that help me see what I can do and become in this hobby. Great, great guy, if you ever get to meet him at a show, stop and hear his stories!! Thanks again Marty!

Well, good news! Its running! Not for long, but it fired which is nice. And I think the starter is not lined up well - getting a little grinding in the teeth it sounds like. I have another pump to try, as it seems it is getting starved of gas. The gas in the glass looks clean, so I don't think the gas is the issue. Doesn't smell varnished at least.

Here is a quick vid, one of a couple we cought. courtesy of the wife who hung out with me out there tonight! :D

Here are some more pics as well, Started ripping out deteriorated interior. Just feels good to get stuff, albeit it small, done. Small steps ahead! Forgive the quality from cell phone pics.

    Brand new 3" lowering blocks.

    Really is solid!

    ALMOST salvageable...LOL!

    Pile 'o shit from floor.

Also, help in this area with the door latching. Can't figure it out. It latches, but then is loose. Not sure where or what to adjust...forgive ignorance here...

That is a wrap for now!

I have some of those little stainless steel pieces under the rear fender trim you can have if you still need em. Whitehur@msn.com
Check for cracked block on 216 under manifold... Thin wall there and straight water without antifreeze left in block in a freeze will crack em.sorry to say.setting the timing on these is weird because there is a pointer down on the flywheel. As opposed to on the front balancer.

Also if you want a straight rear deluxe bumper that needs chrome I have one for cheap...The real fancy one but shipping will be a problem for sure. There was nothing useable on the back half of the 49 I'm working on except that and taillight chrome & lenses.

No issues so far with leaking. Seems dry so far, but thank you for the heads up.

Might be interested in skirts, but not sure yet. I will PM you if I decide to go that route!

I will be, they simply came with the car when I bought it. Picking up a dual pot Offy intake and polished valve cover this weekend. Continuing to pick away at it, get the interior cleaned up. The big parts are brakes and tires needed.

Found a pic of this car in factory ride height. But I like the "feel", and I photoshop'd it to be a little lower. Thinkin' skirts may be in my future (Styleiner - PM with your price and pics, if you are still interested in selling)

If the pump isn't working right, talk to the filling station, it is new. Receipt should be in the envelope.

Here are the skirts if interested. Good steel, mostly cosmetic wear and surface rust... latches work well. small dent.
