Work has been hectic lately, but whenever I can, I spend some time in the garage. Right now, I'm in the middle of tackling the pedals, modifying the '37 X-member to accept '40 pedals. I needed to roll it outside and see how it looks with the new front tires, so I mocked the body back up and took a couple shots today..

Matt, in building my '31 roadster, the issue was metal thickness out back,
'tiger-hair' reinforced epoxy filler helped out in stressed areas.
It strengthened up the thin metal, enough to take paint without cracking later.
Does not sand all that easy but builds stiffness.
Earlier posts that mentioned steel tube braces are a good means to keep everything aligned.

    Spot the difference..

I got sick of looking at a brown cowl and a green body.. So I drilled out the spot welds holding the upper firewall and the tunnel on the bottom of the matching fuel tank. It looks so much better and as an added bonus, I get to stash that brown cowl panel in the attic. That much room makes a difference in an one-car garage.

Threw on the windshield stanchions and frame for shits and giggles.

And now I have a dashboard to use, even if only temporarily.

Seeing as he's at work I'll go ahead and answer for him, yes that's his car at the speed shop.

If you follow him on Facebook or Instagram he posts way more regularly. Seems almost all the builds I follow here are real time on Instagram and then bulk uploaded every once in a while here

    Thank you, @Tim.

Yes, my roadster is at Austin Speed Shop getting finished up because I work there now. I have to thank Joyo, Cory, and Dr. Dan for encouraging me to bring it there to finish up. And also @Anderson for bullying me into it. :p You guys are welcome to come by and check it out! Currently, it's in the back by the "wood wall" corner next to the neon cross so it's a little hard to see right now. Closer to the end of the month, it will get moved in front of my toolbox where it will be more visible from the merchandise part of the shop.

I will be starting a new thread after I make some more progress. I only just moved the roadster in there last week, so I'm getting my ducks all in a row. When I make the new thread, I'll be sure to post it on here so you guys can continue to follow along..

    Thank y'all!!
