Appleseed: My wife is starting her Master's thesis in Architechture. I already started mine, not in architechture though. I have also been in hotrod scene about six years now, so has my wife, more or less. But my point here is that I have never thought that there could be a connection between those two things. And it still seems odd, but good luck with your project, be sure that you argue your points clearly in your thesis. I think you might get the best output from HAMBers by asking questions and leading the way to the direction you need to. Why don't you start with mutual words like functionality, simplicity, beauty etc... Even though architechture is pretty much money-driven here in US, it used to be art and that's what it still is for example in Europe (as I know). So I like the idea of "building from scratch" -connection. As you might already know, there are three "principles" building a hotrod: Stance, Proportions, and Details. What would they be in architechture?
hey good news i can know understand 7 words out of the 782 the you typed Now theres just 782 - 7 =......................Well hell you get the idea Tyler
i lost interest after the first sentence or so... if the archetecture gig doesnt work out i think youd be a hit in politics with that doubletalk
I bought a '31 A Tudoor. I channeled it and put a 283 Chev engine and 350 trans. in it. I modified it to make it look and perform better than stock, by my definition of "better". I got some house plans out of a book. I changed the construction to styrofoam block w/ poured concrete cores, added a front porch, and a very large garage. I modified the architecture to make my house look and perform better than stock, by my definition of "better". Is this an example of what you are driving at? Anyhow, I love my hot rod and my hot house! But most of all, I love bunnies with pancakes on their heads.
