I finally managed to get this....

    installed and kind of working....

Not happy with how the linkage is working and I have a dead spot still.

And I am looking for something different than the little chrome caps.

Finally finished the project on the rear suspension, Took a few weekends though.

I had bagged it a couple of years ago and wanted to go a little lower in the back. Also get rid of the old lever action shocks and fab in modern gas tube shocks. So mission acomplished. New style bags....check...Lower...check. tube shocks....check, rear sway bar...check. Happy with it... O'yeah

Got the Jag rear end partially dismantled. Now ready to start building the crossmember on dad's 66 Chevy. My 64 on the far side still covered with crap, LOL.

Finally fitted up the engine and trans in my Olds sedanette. Not a lot but something. Trans pan is level with bottom of chassis rails so it'll clear most obstacles at normal ride height. Chassis work is next so at least I can locate everything and add my new suspension. Clears OEM floor, toe boards and firewall.

took the A coupe down to the exhaust shop to have a tail pipe fitted, pretty pumped as my first real drive in this car.
On the way home, overheated, lost water.made it home, blown headgasket.pulled the head and radiator out tommorow.
thought i was pretty close to having this one stitched up,oh well.

Fired up the engine in the Cabrio, sounds so sweet but just so much to do and no time to get it done by roundup, thinking of trailering it

Made a lot of progress on the '62 Falcon daily driver. Got the engine in last weekend and did all the under the car stuff on Friday, i.e. drive shaft, clutch linkage, mounts bolted up, etc.

Yesterday I did all of the engine bay connections, choke cable, heater hoses, all the electrical. Then dropped the new radiator in only to find that the fan is tight up against the core! Not good. Researching now to find out if a shorter water pump is possible or might just have to resort to surgery on the core support.

  18. Actually spent the whole last week/this weekend volunteering for the tornado relief efforts down here in the south. Set up a local drop-off point for collections, and have driven all over AL/TN delivering food, water, flashlights, blankets, etc. to a lot of folks who are "newly homeless". It's pretty bad down here, but feels good to be able to help. Back to the workshop soon..

I got quite a bit done this weekend between yard work and Mothers day festivities. I detailed the '58 gauge cluster and painted the needles flourescent orange to match the new SW gauges, covered my upper door panels in vinyl, built kick panels with speakers behind the original vent grilles and cut waterboard panels for the lower doors. I also managed to fab a spacer for the alternator bracket and reinstall the spark plug wire looms.

By next weekend my goal is to fatmat the cab, install new jade green carpeting, seatbelts, kick panels and lower door panels...
