Pros & cons?

Ok, I got a 55 Ford Mainline I'm doin a g***er out of & have access to a free '48 Ford pickup front axle. Pros & cons of this idea? I'm using a reversed vega steering box out of a friends '32 ford, already planned on new leaf springs & rebuilding the brakes. Also does anyone know what drums I can use to get my bolt patterns to match?
