Need some advice guys, I have about 1/4" of clearence between my 302 exhaust manifold and borgenson p.s. box. Will this cook my p.s. box?, could I wrap that part of manifold with header wrap, or maybe fabricate a heat shield, or would headers give better clearence, any thoughts or advice would be appreciated, thanks
Here is a '54 with the Hedman 88400 header stock box. Notice the open air gap with the header that the manifold does not have
I would probably wrap which ever lent itself best to wrapping and add a shield possibly coverd with some heat resistant material as well. Lots of stuff available.
