Well... not barn actually. A building. But "building find" doesn't have the same ring to it. Lol

I thought you guys may enjoy this video. I won't spoil it. But I stumbled upon a Hemi last week and bought it. It's my first Hamb friendly OHV! Enjoy!

  8. Some info: every early hemi I worked on had dual points. There's been several threads on the early years bell housing and water pump setups to provide info for you. The majority of those engines aren't high compression and don't make big power. They are a building block for the future if you can afford the price tag. Unless the block is cracked from having no anti freeze at sometime, I think you have an excellent start. Congrats. :)

This is a short bell. It looks like a long bell. But the bellhousing bolts on. It had a huge electric motor bolted to the back of it.

Ha! I've been calling it the "poor man's ardun" but I like the hemi powered shop idea.

Definitely a slam touch goal...or whatever the sports ball guys call it.

This is why I stop at everything for sale....and free piles. You don't want to know about all the good***** I've pulled out of the free pile.

I appreciate all your support on everything dude! If I ever need a Stude starter I know who to call!

    :D

    Thanks!

I know. I really wanted a radiator. But even if I did. It's cold out. And I don't want to waste coolant and I'm not risking water. I do think I'll do an episode 2 of it on a custom run stand and with a radiator. I'm 99% sure it's gonna be good to go though!

I told him since he’s got no current projects on the daily driver pickup he should put the whole run stand in the back of the truck for a get together or at least some photos. Shop truck in action!

Great score! Hemis turn up in the strangest places. My latest Hemi turned up at a small avaition museum. I had to buy the aircraft tug with a large ground power generator to get it. With the price of copper being high at the time, I was able to turn the scrap into a $400 profit on top of the 354 Industrial Hemi. Yours is much cleaner. Mine also included pounds of bird and roden poop! 15707.jpeg 15703.jpeg

So, you've just solved the problem of all the new emissions regulations. Only thing you need to add is a rheostat to the electric motor and chain drive (traditional) from the motor to the rear end ;).

    Hey @Hitchhiker
That is such a cool score Matt !
That HEMI is a keeper for sure. I know that there has to be a cool candidate rig, in your fleet of cool stuff, that the HEMI can live in!
By the way, (PEZ) is very jealous and is patiently waiting to join the fleet!

    Thanks from Dennis.
