Beautiful job, Tony. Your workmanship and your eye for the aesthectics is a lot better than a lot of the so-called "Professional" rod shop jobs I've seen, by a ton. You have every right to be proud of it. If you're doing this good at your age....well...er.....can I have your autograph ???? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

HOLY SHIT!!i can't believe this went multiple pages!
I've been at the shop where the car is all day again.. Started at 9:00 am this morning and just got home..at 2:00am the next day..LOL

Spent all day wet sanding and rubbing. There was some dust and stuff in the clear due to the fact it wasn't in a booth, but it's ALL gone now!
    It's fuckin' SMOOTH.........I'M STOKED!!

I wanna get it out and snap a pic in the sun so bad..but this morning when i got there it was snowing and we had a covering on the ground..so no sun today....BUT.....
We are supposed to have some tomorrow, and if we do, i'll roll it out and take some pics.
I really wanna see the paint 'flop' in the sunlight..
Even though i think this color is gonna look it's best at dusk..i think the color is gonna highlight the curves of the car pretty good.
    With all that said..

I can't believe the amount of responses this post got..I REALLY appreciate all the props..
I just don't know what else to say....other than i'm tired [IMG]

    Thanks guy's!

Thats exactly what we were saying. It has a cool color change to it.
We shut off some of the light's in the shop, with only the one's to the far drivers side of the car left on, and you can see a lot of the gold pearl on all the 'high' spots like the rear quarter tops, and the front fender body line.

To answer a couple questions up a way's in the thread..
Foul, i think the window is gonna work out great..Thanks!

I'm hoping to have it at Rhinebeck, and i'm going to Syracuse again, but may go to the Rumble and Syracuse this year..i think there on the same weekend again, so we'll have some drive time in but it'll be fun if we do it that way..and i plan on having this out in the spring..so i'd like to have it there.
But i don't think it's gonna have the interior done yet..no money.

And i don't remember who asked, but the tail light housing's i made from 19ga sheet metal and used 5/16 fuel line as the radius at the edge..

It does look like there's neon's under there dosn't it..haha.
no worries though, it's only overspay from painting.

The interior is gonna be white R&P 'hyde, with body color piping on the seats and body color carpet. Nothing crazy, just simple and clean.
Believe it or not, the car is much lower than it looks. I cut 2 full coils from the front, and has 3" blocks in the back already...i think the 14" rims on it now make it look taller..
i do plan on going about another 2 inches all around.
Those rims and going too..got a little something different in mind than a painted rim..

That really came out great Tony, and I see the color change in the photos as well, thought it was more red/marroon but in the overhead shot you really get to see the copper and gold in the paint. Nice choice, it's going to look great in the sun.

I was over at the shop again this morning from about 7:00am til about 15 minutes ago.
Finished machine glazing it, then did the hand glaze deal..

I'll get them on here in a little while..gotta do a few things around here first..
