pulling motor out of 55 pontiac, what am I instore for?

Couple things you'll note pulling that engine:

It's in there sideways. That's OK, it'll still work that way.

Your hands fit everywhere you need to undo bolts and such.

I don't know if this was already mentioned but don't use one of those "Horror Freight" engine stands with three legs, they will always tip at the wrong time. You can probably find a nice four legged for pretty cheap.
