Here's one for the HAMB "historians"....
I picked up a P2 Pullmax this weekend that will be heading west to a shop in Memphis later this month. I was told this came from a machinery dealer out of Detroit many years back, and that it had been in the Ford prototype shop. He did say that no dies came with it when he got it.

Now I've heard the "tall" tale of the Pullmax sold by Ford, and it also had a store room full of dies used to make any and all parts before anything went into production, to include stainless trim for the 55 T-bird. So, has anyone heard the same story or know of anyone that may have worked in that shop?

Back to the top. Sounds like the potential for a very interesting story is here.

Stan Fulton got it sorted, it was originally bought for Maine Township High School West in Des Plaines, IL. Sounds like the Detroit eqpt dealer may have “confused” this with another one.

Cool story, too bad it didn't pan out to be previously Ford Owned.
Being a high school shop machine, it never got heavy 3 shift use, probably in good condition.

Pile of specialty tooling from Ford - very interesting, likely went into a shipping tub until it rusted up and got s****ped - but there's hope

Yeah, if it had been owned by Ford it most likely would have had a Ford ***et tag on it.
