Funny guy. Actually, the flier mentions ZeroWire technology. Googled it, nothing related to this "wiring system". LimeWorks used it in their 22jr. tribute car. "a revolutionary new wiring system that eliminates up to 95% of interconnected wiring" This system utilizes pre-wired modules, one for each area of the car. Anyone have an experience with this? I'll email Steve, but I wanted to get feedback from someone that is NOT affiliated with the product.
I was helping with R&D on the pulse jet wiring, the technology was too advanced therefore too expensive to produce !!!! Keith the inventor has carried on using a more contemporary design still uses modules but now 2 wires , one power the other signal. Before he was running the signal down the power cable. It works unreal , I am keeping up with developments , not for sale yet.
I think it is referred to as "multiplexing".Used quite a bit on commercial aircraft,p***enger cabin systems in particular.

Just to add my random thoughts to a year old thread... Multiplexing is a good concept, but to apply it to a hot rod situation is pretty unnessesary. It would be hard to justify the expense of the components for your adverage run of the mill hot rod that could easily get by with an off the shelf 199 dollar wiring harness. Neat technology though.. -Abone.
i remember seeing some thing on the speed channel or some other net work about a zero wire system that had a box for each end of the car. some how it use radio waves to comunicate from one box to the other. to me it kind of look like a overly complex way to simplafie things. http://www.zerowire.us/zerowire-automotive.php i think this might be it but its not limeworks

We decided to drop the concept after realizing how sensitive the system is to a bad connection or bad crimp. We've all seen bad crimps , the system is a compuuter style message system , brilliant in design but not for the home builder , I was imagining spending more time on the phone trouble shooting than I need to do so Keith (the brains in Wisconsin ) & I decided to drop the concept as a product. Incidently Keith designed the zero wire system , it uses the power wire as the communication wire & is brilliant but WAY too expensive as it is cutting edge technology. Better to quit while your ahead .
even on this one year old thread , i'm surprised no one has mentioned the article that Rod & Custom did on it in the June 2009 issue. i'm sure it's ok , i can't really see any advantage to it as already said. i will probably never use it
I'm with you on this. I had built some products before that I thought were more than rugged enough, my clutch kit for example. I pulled it after guys were breaking hardened 17-4 Stainless steel shafts. We calculated it took over 350 pounds of force to even get near destroying this set up, and still I had to repair or refund a large portion. I have had some very interesting problems with electronic devices lately, fan controllers and AC units. Stupidly sensitive and everything anymore needs to be grounded directly to the battery. Total **** in my opinion. Cheers for doing what's right, the bleeding edge of tech is a nasty place at times.
