Event Coverage Pumpkin Run, a tour of the junk cars @ Flemmings...

The Pumpkin Run was today. I arrrived around 1:30 to the show since I stopped at the Philadelphia Modifiers nostalgia drags beforehand. I spent the next 3 hours walking thru the old junkyard and it was time to go. Only saw a handfull of the "show cars"... lol...

no shots of my truck running out of gas from waiting in an hours worth of traffic trying to get in THEN cooking my coil after getting some gas. it was a long day.

 

so whats the deal..these cars are in Ohio? and are they for sale? guess I'm confused on your thread

To clarify things for you... No & no...

The Pumpkin Run is held every year around this time. It is a car show at an old junkyard. The yard is not operational and Mr. Flemming would probably not even sell a part to the Pope unless he knew him personally.

yeah I thought the Pumpkin Run was in Ohio but maybe I'm wrong..and so what's the point he has a ton of cars that could be used just sitting there rusting away? people like that make me sick..

 

Let me guess, he's going to fix them up someday right?

 

The yard is in Egg Harbor Twp, NJ(close to Atlantic City) & has been around forever. They did everyone a favor and crushed all of the late model shit and left the old cars that were still there alone. Trust me, if you tried to move one of those cars, it would desinigrate within 20 feet. He keeps it open in the fall and gives haunted junkyard hayrides and has other events throughout the year. He should get a little credit for being cool that way at least... They could have been Hyundai's by now...

 

Looks like they were trying to lower the rear end of this one.... guess it worked!!

 

That would be the result of an accident. Poor Packard!!!!

 

this was the frist time i got to walk in the woods there great place glad they left the old stuff so we could enjoy it a must see

 

Nice to see Skip was down from Mass. That guy really get's around in that old '34.

 

You forgot to take pictures of the 50's diner ,The dinosaur and the hover craft.This place is like a museum .Working sawmill with plenty to see.I wish i didn't have to work at Atco that day.

Thanks for the pics. I could use that grill out of the International Panel truck. Cool show. Yes their is a Pumkin Run in southern Ohio in October too.

 

Mother nature seems to be pretty harsh on those cars out there!

Yea harry is a helluva guy. He won't sell a thing, but he'll trade you for something "interesting." If you have something he wants he'll talk.

 

Great weather for a car show. There was a huge turnout of cars and spectators.
