  4. Here's the rear corners, rear window & A pillars welded & cleaned. 20 ft of 1x1 left me around 80" short on the rear structure, so an addtn'l 20ft will be here tomorrow & the structure build begins. Carl Hagan

Looking good, I'll keep an eye on this build.

  7. Here's the inner structure for the back half. Still need to get the square dies for the hossfeld, so I did the corners the hard way. I still need to clean it up with the angle grinder on the corners & then I'll put the panels on it. Oh...40ft of 1.1 in that alone. Had to pick up another two 20ft sticks to do the doors, cowl & floor support.

What does this thing look like****embled? Have any before pictures?

  15. Here's the doors for now. Stripped, wood cut out, tops cut off & company sign re-lettered. (this is build is spare time between two jobs & two full time kids)

I'll have the doors inner structure pics up shortly. Carl Hagan

  17. Here's a door with the inner structure. Keep'n it simple for now. The 1inch tube is just behind the window channel, so I should be in the clear. Carl Hagan

  18. Here's the cowl structure. I'd like to add that the****embled structure in the cowl will not just pull up & out of the cowl. Because I wanted pics of just the structure only, I built this as a two piece structure which IS removable from the cowl and then spot welded into one weldment for these pics.

I'll cut the spot welds, thus making it two pieces again and then****emble it back into the cowl and finish welded as one final weldment.

  20. Cowl structure spot welded into the cowl. I've still got plenty of work to do to it. The next pics should look like a truck cab. Nice. Carl Hagan

How are you going to be attatching the panels to the framework? I am going to be attempting the same thing in liu of the wood in my '29 soon.

  22. All the panels are to be welded solid to the structure. Cool. Carl Hagan

  23. Well, since most structure is completed, here's some teaser pics of the cab fitted together. Not welded or anything, but simply fitted together. Probly 1st time in 20yrs the cab has looked like a cab.

  25. Here are some pics of the cab spot welded together for fitment. Also, a couple shots of some floor structure. The door hinges took a bit of time to straighten out, they were all pretty kinked and twisted. Carl Hagan

wow , thats lookin good , very nice work on making the steel to replace the wood , looks great and i know what a chore it must have been !

  28. This is as far as I'm taking the floor structure for now. I'm around 60" short of 1x1 to finish the cab, roof & all; into one solid piece. Hopefully I'll have the additional tubing Tues. and can start again. Carl Hagan
