Hey brian! It's the newbie from yesterday. I thought of you today, I flipped out on a new guy at our shop today for really no reason. I had to set down my welder, stop and chuckle to my self as I thought of this thread and it came to me, Oh **** I was being a **** head to that guy. But I got a set of 15 by 10 rear wheels for my rod so I am better now. Just thought that was funny.

  6. Well, as much as I'd like to buy into that "kinder, gentler world" thing, we all are miserable *******s at times. At least your not an "Egotistical Pig!!!:D :D :D

Hang in there new guy 31. You have to forgive Brian, he's up to his hemmaroids in snow and ice and a little *****y however, Brian is very knowledgable and can help you out a lot so don't run away mad, just a little wounded. Your question is valid and there is a ton of info here to help you. Take your time, do the research suggested and you'll be a better man. Don't worry about it dude, I've had my ears pinned back more than once on here but if you keep your nose to the trail you'll find what you need. We can't have enough Model A's and that's the truth...... ;)

    Hi there

thought I'd put up the link to the engine mount installation on my '32... there are some other articles on there that deal with engine mount issues as well. http://www.welderseries.com/32proj/pages/art6.htm

There are a couple different SBC motor mount kits here:
    http://www.welderseries.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=22_38

A few things to keep in mind when you're installing the motor:
    - oil pan clearance
    - air cleaner clearance (if you want to keep it under the hood (if you're running one))
    - distributer clearance (like Brian mentioned)
    - fan clearance
    - header clearance
also remember that steering linkage has to get through there somewhere, too.

Depending on what type of insulator you'll be using, remember that rubber will settle a little bit more than urethane. Rubber mounts will absorb more vibration; they will transmit less vibes through to the interior, if that's a concern.
