Scrappy… since you brought up Wayne’s ..I have 2 12 port GMC’s (neither are Wayne’s) and are complete. Meaning stainless or better valves, springs retainers etc. covers, rockers, o-ringed (which is a must if you understood a non chamber head) and injectors. Both have been ported and have flow #’s thats needed if your considering any competition use, and key threaded holes have inserts…$5000 wouldn’t get close to owning either one.

Today very few are available if you know who to call and you know which one you want. The patterns for all of them (Wayne, Horning, Howard/Arias, Skinner) are owned but without a market none will be cast and basic machined because they would be in the $20K range. Just sayin’

As for streetable the Wayne Chevrolet and GMC were the only ones that did have intakes for carburetors and cast iron exhaust; those are the hardest parts to find. All the others were Hilborn style fuel injection which today could be converted to electronic. None of the originals have roller rockers and use stock ones.

A good auctioneer is worth the cost... because the items will fetch a higher price... Hence, the saying a good auctioneer works for free...

The sad thing is we are a vanishing breed ... Most youngsters don't know what the F these old parts are. Probably gunna be scrap value before long. Old bicycle stuff will probably be more valuable because it's green:oops:

Ahhh, Went back and read more closely, you are looking for a value for the parts I see now

Could you perhaps post a rough list of items and pictures so Folks here could see what is there ??

You are kind to be helping out, when my Friend of 4o years fell over from a heart attack, I did not know as I was overseas, his Mother moved into his house to sell his belonging

My Friends best Friends descended on her to help, cheated her so badly as she knew naught about what he had

I and others confronted them after all was sold and shite canned them

The one that was supposedly the one she trusted the most gave her $75.00 for a nickle plated .357 Magnum... another told her his small journal 327 steel crank with standard journals was worth $30.00 and bought it ..... etc, etc ...
    .......................................................................................................................

I have been selling on ebay for over 2o years and started selling on market place on ebay as well

As said above, it is very labor intensive... every item on ebay needs pictures and descriptions
Then you need to know the size of the package and weight before you can list it
Then you have to list and post a ton of info and do a buy it now or auction and wait

It is a hobby for me but some open a store and stuff stays listed till it sells

If I may ask, is there timeline and how many parts are there ??

Can the parts stay where they are until sold and do they need to be moved

I will help if I am able to

Regards and please tell the Family best wishes and hugs from me
I will keep them in my thoughts

    Ricky.

old bicycle stuff is already valuable.. the good stuff. but it's the same thing as old car stuff, few if any youngsters into the prewar stuff. in 10 years vintage BMX will be overpowering pre-war bikes as us old farts start dying off and the next generation takes over

Whatever value you place on things you think are rare & valuable they are going to sit for a while. Look in the HAMB classified section some stuff has been on there for YEARS.

I have seen some successful sales of parts collections on the Bring a Trailer auction site. To be fair they were Porsche parts but BaT also sells quite a few cars like what we are interested in. So they might list this collection. The good thing is as I understand it, it only would cost $99.00 to list it and maybe more if you use their photographer. Some on here have experience with BaT so they might be able to add more info than I have.
