All - I've searched the HAMB and Google with little luck. Hoping you can help me out. When i bought my '46 Ford Coupe the front end was disassembled and inside the body. I'm trying to get everything temporarily in place to make sure the engine, rad, shroud, fan, etc. all fits. Does anyone have a picture, schematic or otherwise, of how everything from the firewall forward fits? I **think** I have all the pieces and then some, but am having a bit of a problem figuring out where some of it goes. Thanks in advance (and apologies in advance if I missed the answer in another post)
Some pics: http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/FH_images/FH_rad-grill-pics/Flathead_radtr42-48car.jpg http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/FH_images/FH_rad-grill-pics/Flathead_grill-hood46ford.jpg Those are pics from the parts book--this frontend stuff is in the Chassis book, not body. Theat's all the online site had that seemed relevant, but there's more in the actual book dispersed into cooling, fender, and maybe other sections. Basically, the whole front end is bolted on at the cowl, and then supported at front by radiator cradle sprung to frame. Probably best to assemble whole thing, then lift it into place.
