    Hey all,

Will new 12v aftermarket oil press/ water temp. gauges work in a 6v pos. ground car?
Assuming that I’m using the supplied senders, and knowing that the bulbs will be dim to ineffective, aren’t I just reading resistance? What about mechanical gauges?

    Thanks!

No. Why not use mechanical gauges.

Gauges? We don't need no stinking gauges...

Use mechanical gauges. The kind that use a normal bulb, so you can swap in a 6v to replace the 12v bulb.

Or get the original gauges working....that's the most fun approach...
