I Picked up an 8-71 BDS and wanted to run quad holley 94's... to my surprise no one make such a thing.... anyone want to take on a challenge? Or am I gonna have to just tool out the flatplate and heliarc four holley 94 plates on it...?
Yea figured the whole welding part out after I knowticed how simple this set up is. Flat plate and a drill....some spacers and your in buidness! Shoot at 200cfm in the machined and polished versions, I would think that three should be enough for a 350 SBC AT A 10% UNDERDRIVE... say 5-7lbs boost. Dont ya think?
I'm running 1300 cfm of holley 4 bbls on my 6-71 with that much boost, but it's on a big block. So 1000 cfm total should be about right. But 2bbl carbs are rated for cfm at a higher vacuum than 4bbl carbs, aren't they? Anyways, the adapter in my picture is a Weiand piece from long ago. I've seen one on a car in a picture in a 1961 Hot Rod.
I'm working on a Stromberg 97 or Holley 94 carb 4x2 6x2 and an 8x2 setup for the 6-71 and up blower case. Some will be in-line, others staggered, some with two rows of carburetors. Something for everyone. As usual, just let me know what you need as we build just about anything for Hot Rods. Dashman's Hot Rod & Speed Parts www.dashman.net
