Im looking for help finding the carb. Number for a 66 or 67 q-jet 430cid buick...... There is no numbers stamped into the secondary body....
if your getting a kit, just tell them the year and make most kits have a few different gaskets in there. but the numbers are on the body. http://www.buickperformance.com/qjet.html
The original 1966 and 1967 Rochester quadrajets are identified by tag only. This is a small round tag about the size of a dime, which is pressed into a small round opening in the center section (bowl) of the carburetor right under the primary throttle arm. Once the tag has been removed, positive identification is very difficult. Beginning in 1968, the numbers were stamped in the center section; this includes replacement carburetors for the earlier years. Jon.
